Good news everyone, the German alphabet is very similar to the English alphabet! There are only a few letters that are new. Below is a chart that lists the letters.

Before we dive into learning some basic German vocabulary and grammar, here’s a great video that demonstrates the fundamentals of German pronunciation.
I would recommend watching this video through a couple of times to get a general feel for pronunciation but don’t get too discouraged if it feels a little overwhelming. The next post will give you some vocabulary that will help you start practicing.
